
Kevin Quinlan, owner of KEVIN QUINLAN ARCHITECTURE LLC, has worked on various projects during his decades of design and construction experience. This has included hotels, courthouses, schools, museums, urban multi-use complexes, tenant office towers, suburban corporate headquarters, public housing units, pedestrian bridges, waterside parks, private residences, and interior fit-outs.
Prior to establishing his own firm, Kevin Quinlan was a Senior Construction Project Manager at Bovis Lend Lease LMB, Inc. in New York City where he specialized in on-site construction project management. He also gained extensive experience in pre-construction project management services, particularly in the areas of design management and schedule & budget development. As a result, he is skilled at managing a project from initial design conception through on-time construction completion, staying within budget and satisfying the owner's requirements. Kevin was twice the recipient of a Bovis Customer Satisfaction & Client Contact Employee Recognition Award.
Previously, Kevin Quinlan held the position of Associate with renowned architects Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP in New York City, who recruited him from architectural school. At SOM he designed projects, prepared construction documentation, provided technical coordination in both the U.S. and internationally, and administered on-site construction supervision. Kevin was also a Project Architect at a prominent firm in Greenwich, CT, where he was instrumental in the design development, detailing and construction supervision of several elaborate shingle-style residences.
Kevin Quinlan is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, where he attained Bachelor of Architecture & Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architecture degrees. While at R.I.S.D., he also attended Brown University and interned as a designer with Di Leonardo International, a leading design firm of hotels and resorts worldwide.
Projects which Kevin Quinlan has worked on have won many awards and have been featured in numerous publications such as Architecture, Architectural Digest, Architectural Record, A+U (Architecture + Urbanism), Bovis World magazine, Bureau de France, Interiors, Interior Design, New York magazine, The New York Times, RISD Views, SOM 1984-1994, VOGUE magazine, and This Old House Magazine.
Kevin is a Registered Architect in the states of Connecticut and New York and a member of the American Institute of Architects, the National Trust For Historic Preservation, The Preservation Society of Newport County (RI), the Wilton Historic Properties and Historic District Commission, the Wilton Building Inspectors Board of Appeals, the Wilton Planning and Zoning Commission Village District Consultant Committee, the Wilton Chamber of Commerce and several local fraternal, charitable, and cultural organizations.
